Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse to Open New 13,000-Square-Foot Flagship in Tampa
Tampa is getting ready to welcome a new addition to its upscale dining scene. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar will open its doors on September 9, marking the debut of its 13,000-square-foot flagship location. Situated just a half-mile from Bloomin’ Brands' Tampa headquarters, this new restaurant is a significant development for the company.
The location is designed to offer a “rich, immersive experience” inspired by the Napa Valley, blending California’s charm with Tampa’s coastal energy. While this new design draws from the Napa Valley, Fleming’s originally opened in Southern California in 1988, establishing its roots in Newport Beach.
The new flagship restaurant is located at 4342 W. Boy Scout Blvd., where Roy’s previously operated. It is adjacent to the former Fleming’s location, which will soon transform into a Bonefish Grill. This stretch of road near Tampa International Airport is home to various dining options, including Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant and Eddie V’s Prime Seafood.
Fleming’s new flagship will be the 64th location nationwide, with another in the works for the UTC area in east Manatee County. The Tampa-based parent company, Bloomin’ Brands, started with Outback Steakhouse in 1988 and now operates over 1,450 restaurants globally, generating $4.67 billion in revenue in 2023.
With Raymond James Stadium just a mile away and its strategic placement along a thriving restaurant corridor, the new Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse is set to become a culinary landmark in Tampa.
